Miscellaneous Musings

I'm currently in Georgia heading toward Salem, Alabama. My first 5-6 years in this world were spent in and around Salem, AL so I figured since I was in the area I'd drive by and take another look.

Stopped in North Carolina for a day and my son and I built a different configuration in my Jeep. The bed is now off the floor by about a foot and now spans the entire back of the Jeep giving me and Lusha more room to sleep. It was getting kind of crowded with Lusha on board. Now we have plenty of room to sleep once we get laid down. Turns out that the bed is also only about 2 feet from the top of the Jeep not giving much room for moving around. But like I said, once I'm lying down I'm okay. And Lusha doesn't seem to mind it for now. I'm sure it might get a little tight for her as she continues to grow. Might have to keep looking for another means for travel to give us still more room and more comfort. For now it'll have to do. Once I download a pic I'll post it on here.

Starting to question whether I want to keep traveling or find a place and settle down. Unlike my eldest brother I'm not so sure I'm cut out for this type of lifestyle. Too much "I want to be around other people" in my blood. I think part of my problem is I'm not absolutely sure where I want to settle down.

I drove down SC72/GA72 to where I am and there are quite a few parcels for sale. I'll need to check on the pricing but some of the parcels are really nice, very wooded and some are even on lakes. No rivers that I could gather in my search though and I think I'd rather have a large stream or river than a lake. Well, that's not exactly true, it's just that the ones on rivers are only an acre or less and really expensive for what I'm willing to pay.

My plans for present are to head to Salem and then follow the Southern border all the way to Southern California, up North to Washington State and then head on up to Alaska before heading back to the States via crossing Canada. Think I'll find a job before getting through all of the above??? Only time will tell.
