Garmin Users Beware!!

Okay, it isn't as bad as it sounds unless you don't have a brave or adventurous bone in your body.

I know many of you that know me also use a Garmin GPS to get around when you are driving.  Well, when you are trying to go from A to B, unless you are the adventurous type, I'd keep the GPS on "Fastest" and not "Shortest" when setting your route.

Me, being the adventurous sort (who would have known), I generally keep mine on "Shortest" when routing.  And let me tell you I've never been down so many unpaved roads while driving through Tennessee and Mississippi in my entire life.  Ha!  Seriously, I think some of the roads my GPS took me down hadn't been driven on since the last covered wagon headed West.  One of them I even turned around after going into the 'thicket' for about a mile.  It just seemed like the road kept getting smaller and smaller.  Thought that if I kept going I was going to find a big hole at the base of a tree and fall in!!  lol

Anyway, just wated to give everyone reading this forewarning.  Fastest or shortest - you've been warned!!!

Down South

Yes, I've been remiss at putting up postings of what I've been up to so I've finally forced myself to sit down and say at least a little of what's happen today.  It was actually what I could have had for breakfast that got me here.

If you ever find yourself driving on South 64 and you happen to be passing through Tate, TN, well there's a nice little buffet spot you might want to stop into.  I understand their buffet is quite good but they only have that for dinner and supper;  I stopped for breakfast.

Well, I always like to try to native fare but this was one time I took a pass.  Yep, little ole Luigi didn't have the stomach to waste some good hard cash on a breakfast that I just didn't think was going to be, well, let's just say filling.  What was you ask that I didn't want to try - Brains and Eggs!!  Yep!!  you read that right!  Right there as the third/fourth item on the menu was "Brains and Eggs".  Not knowing what "Brains and Eggs" were I asked and the "Brains" was actual pig brains cooked up really special.  lol  The waitress said they sell lots of them and that they are bit on the 'salty' side.  I guess that's kind of the same as pork-back.  Hmmmmmm, hmmmmmmmm, good!!  Maybe next time.

I did have their vanilla pancakes - turns out they were more like vanilla cornbread.  Maybe its a good thing I didn't try the B&E.

Sorry no pics this time, seems like all the towns are starting to look alike.  If there's ever anything 'startling' or outlandish I'll be sure and gets some photos for you.
